The CEOs Diversity Summit is held by the Executive Leadership Council. The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) is a unique, individual membership organization representing the most senior African-American corporate executives in Fortune 500 companies. Membership consists of nearly 400 people, one-third of them women, representing more than 200 companies.

The CEOs Diversity Summit is an all-day thought leadership and professional development session for Fortune 500 CEOs and their Executive Leadership Council members. Launched in 2001 with support from General Electric, more than 100 Fortune 500 CEOs have participated in the confidential sessions since the Summit was developed. Directed by academic moderators such as Harvard scholars Charles Ogletree and Dr. David Thomas, participants spend the day sharing best corporate diversity practices, leadership strategies, and case studies related to workplace issues in the inclusive corporate workplace.
